The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Answer the following question:

What kind of boy do his two benefactors, the Widow Douglas, and Mrs.Watson want Huck to be? How does Huck's relationship with his father, Pap, compare? How would we characterize Pap's parenting in contemporary standards? What are Huck's strengths and weaknesses? How do you think he compares to his friend Tom Sawyer? Why is he running? What advice would you give him?

Widow Douglass and Mrs. Watson want Huck to be civilized.... a little gentleman.

Pap just wants what he can get from Huck. He came back for Huck's money.

Pap's parenting skills would be considered abusive and lacking regardless of the standards.
