Rowdy has a tough home life. His father is an abusive drunk. Rowdy copes with his pain by being angry and violent. In kindergarten, he hits a teacher. The teacher asks what is wrong with him and Rowdy replies "EVERYTHING!". This is quite telling for a small child to say. As a teenager, Rowdy is still angry and emotionally wounded. Junior and his family are his only refuge.
