Christmas is not so jolly. Junior's father leaves the home to get drunk. There is no money or presents. Junior's father returns home still drunk. He surprises Junior with a five-dollar bill he hides in his boot so he does not spend it on alcohol. Junior is proud that his father showed at least a little restraint but angry that he abandoned them over Christmas. .
