Junior is fourteen, he has aspirations, and for the most part he is like most teenagers.... he enjoys spending time with his friends, playing sports, and drawing. Junior's aspirations are connected to his desire to become a cartoonist. He aspires to leave the reservation in order to attend a school that betters his chances of achieving his dreams. This decision is accompanied by issues, namely, going to Reardon not only alienates him from the friends he's grown up with.... it also becomes a place in which he is alienated because he is Native American. Over time, however, he makes friends, joins the basketball team, and later, will even mend his relationships back home. Junior is tenacious and determined, he is also caring and loyal.
