Chapter 3 - Think and Do - Page 53: 25

Answer

"Dear grandma. Velocity measures how fast you’re traveling and in which direction, and acceleration measures how quickly the velocity changes. The two are distinct. You can have a high velocity and zero acceleration (such as in a jet plane flying in a straight line), or low velocity and high acceleration (such as a floating balloon crashing into a ceiling and stopping suddenly). Thanks for the cookies."
