The "scientific method" refers to a methodical approach towards investigation which includes a variety of steps that intend to provide an answer to a previously set problem or question. This method consists of the observation and recollection of data that relates to the problem, the formulation of a hypothesis that intends to respond to the questions, experimentation in order to deny or ratify the hypothesis, a theory, and finally a law.
