Answer
When the light rays hit photoreceptors, they get excited and send electrical signals to bipolar cells, which in turn passes them to ganglion cells. Then it goes to the optical nerve, which travels to the optical chiasma. From there, the signals from both eyes reach the optical tract, which takes signals to the thalamus (the part of the brain where incoming sensory information is sorted and filtered). Neurons from the thalamus carries the information to the primary visual cortex where the information sent by the eye is processed and the image is formed in the brain.
