In order to graph this, we first graph the equation y=x+2 using the slope (1) and the y-intercept (0,2). Then we reflect the graph that is to the right of the origin over the positive x-axis because of the negative absolute value of x. The negative absolute value of x makes the x value negative when finding the y-value. Even if you plug in a positive x-value, it will turn negative after coming out of the negative absolute value bars and contribute negatively towards the y-value.
