Chapter 2 - Solving Equations - Chapter Review - Page 152: 1

Answer

B. Inverse Operations

Work Step by Step

Inverse operations are operations, that, as the textbook explains, undo each other. In order to figure out if operations are inverse operations, just consider if they can cancel each other out. For instance, like addition cancels out subtraction, multiplication and division cancel each other out, so they are inverse operations.
