One event that is unlikely to occur is that there will be a category-5 tornado where I am today. In Oregon, there are rarely any tornadoes, so the chances of a tornado happening today are very low. Contrarily, the probability that a tornado occurs sometime during the next year in the Midwest is very high. The Midwest receives a large number of tornadoes compared to other parts of the US.
