Tender is the Night

Promiscuity

Hello!

I´m writing a term paper about Tender is the Night in the context of Social Criticism. My question is: Where do we find the topic "Promiscuity" and "Nymphomania" in this novel?!

Thanks!!

Nicole Diver was sexually abused by her father as a child, and she spends her life fighting the mental trauma that ensues from her experience, which also affects her sexual behavior.

Outside of this one very specific case, the novel abounds with the promiscuity of its characters both male and female. Fitzgerald's work is always somewhat autobiographical and reflects the world he lived in. The 1920's were the beginning of the sexual revolution and changing mores.
