Why would Hollywood use dehumanizing propaganda in movies that involve Native Americans?

Hollywood films are generally made for mass consumption. The studios make what they think people desire. Cultural exploitation and cultural appropriation traditionally sells to mainstream non-indigenous audiences. Studios want to make money so they continue to make what they feel sells well.
