29. What memory does Paul have when he hears his grandmother’s voice on the answering machine?

Paul remembers a visit his grandparents made to their home, and he remembers their reaction to his injured eyes. He remembers his mother telling him not to "say anything bad" in front of his grandparents, and finally he remembers everyone going inside..... leaving him alone with his brother.
