What do you predict will become of Melinda by the end of the book? Explain why.

Over the course of the novel, Melinda begins to turn her feelings outward, rather than keeping them inside. Letting go of her experience means that she must conquer her fear (Andy), look him in the face, and confront him.... confront the way she was violated, and in turn, the way she was treated. As she grows and learns to express herself, I think she will take on the challenge and show Andy for who he truly is.
