it can be anyone of them with a quote and I need to be able to draw a picture from it

Simile:

"The street was soon as empty as the hardware-store window."

The storm is coming, and the streets clear. A drawing of a main street with the hardware-store as a focus....... add the storm clouds, and maybe a bit of lightening.
