Siddhartha

By choosing to become a Samana (ascetic), is Siddhartha taking a forward step towards his goal? Was not his life as a Brahmin's son better?

i need help with this discussion question. It's like a mini essay.

Siddhartha's life was most certainly easier as the son of a Brahmin. He had countless opportunuties in the form of education, and had he chosen to follow that path... his future was set out for him. Siddhartha, however, had other plans and wasn't deterred by the challenges he set for himself.
