Shakespeare's Sonnets

Did Shakespeare write "The Two Gentlemen of Verona"?

We are working on our National History Day project, and we are just wondering. I want to know YOUR opinion. We are trying to get a few different opinions. Don't go with the "politically correct" answer. Thank you so much! My partner and I appreciate it so much!

The Two Gentlemen of Verona is considered one of Shakespeare's weakest plays. Most critics still think he wrote it. I think you are referring to Roger Warren's hypothesis, in the 2008 edition of the play for the Oxford Shakespeare, that the play was written somewhere between  1587 and 1591: before Shakespeare came to London. I'm not sure I can give you the answer you are looking for because I'm not a literary historian. You might have to dig deeper into this.

Who was Shakespeare?
