Upon his first meeting with scythe Faraday, Rowan compares the feeling to encountering a mountain lion. Once when he went on a hike with his family he encountered it, and compares the tight feeling in the chest and weakness in his loins to this moment. Ironically enough, it is this moment that will turn Rowan's life completely upside down.
