They are pretty rash, impulsive and immature. I think that was the point of the play. You know young love and all that. Still if I had to pick a stronger character, I would go with the fair Juliet. She has a harder time of it with Capulet her father. She is threatened by him and called a strumpet. She also must contend with arranged marriages being largely a business decision where the girl has little or no say. Romeo just sort of cries a lot about love.
