What dramatic purpose does it serve to include a comical scene involving low-class servants?

It's just comic relief amidst the expectations and tragedy of the play. Most of Shakespeare's tragedy's have this. Macbeth- Porter scene/ Hamlet Gravedigger (clown) scene.
