do you think that Romeo and Juliet are actually in love or do you think that Friar Laurence is likely correct that what Romeo is experiencing may not be true love? Why?

I think both R and J are in the throws of young passion, which is only a small part of "love". I think that the Friar is correct. He uses incendiary language to describe their love, which is very apt for these young impulsive lovers.

These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
