R&J Act 1. Why does lady Capulet tell Juliet to start thinking about marriage?

Girls got married at a very young age in Elizabethan times. Their main job was to make babies, specifically a son for her husband. Also, people just did not live that long in the middle ages so families had to be started sooner than later.
