Romeo and Juliet

Infer whom Romeo might be referring to in these lines and explain how you came to that inference. “The moon’s virginity makes her look ​sick and green​, and only fools hold on to their virginity. Throw it off.” (II.ii.7-9)

Basically, Romeo is saying that the beautiful moon (everything is personified here) is jealous of Juliet's beauty. He says that virginity is a terrible waste for beauty (remember Romeo is a guy!). Diana is goddess of the moon and of virginity. Romeo implies that Juliet is servant of the moon as long as she remains a virgin. Of course, Romeo is pretty eager to remedy this.
