Explain how class acts as an obstacle for characters that have ambitions in life?

Most of the main characters are of nobility. They must all abide by certain social rules, which include subscribing to this silly family feud between the Montagues and the Capulets. The Capulet servant who cannot read is another example of social class. The servant can't read. Romeo, born of nobility, can read and helps the servant out. Few people except nobility were educated in the Middle Ages.
