Romeo and Juliet

Even though he believes Romeo doesn't have a clue as to what or who he wants in life, Friar Lawrence makes the "snap" decision to marry Romeo and Juliet. Despite his objections, why does the Friar agree to the marriage? In other words, what is his MOTIVE

I think Friar's motive is to bring the two feuding families together. I also think Friar is the sort of person who likes to please people.
