What was the problem with the Jeffersons school bus

THe school bus is for white kids. The white kids get to ride in a bus to school while the black kids must walk for three hours. The bus also splashes them on their way to school. The kids dig a ditch across the area that fills with gully water and makes it look as if the road washed out from the rain. The bus runs into the ditch and cannot work.
