Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry

What does Mr. Logan tell his kids about the Wallace's Store?

Does the store have anything to do with the burnings?

The people at the Wallace store take advantage of blacks and are racist. There is also drinking, smoking and gambling going on. This shows Papa to be a wise and disciplined man. He wants his kids to be safe and stay away from potential harm. People that frequent the Wallace store might have been part of the mob who hunted down Mr. Berry.
