Crusoe decides that it isn't his right to exact revenge upon people who do not understand what they've done wrong.

"What Authority, or Call I had, to pretend to be Judge and Execution upon these Men as Criminals, whom Heaven had though fit for so many Ages to suffer unpunish'd"
