Dr. Price
Thomas Paine labels Dr. Price as “one of the best-hearted men that live.” He delivers a sermon “on the fourth of November 1789, being the anniversary of what is called in England, the Revolution which took place 1688.” Mr. Burke undermines Dr. Price’s sermon by covertly branding it unrealistic.
M.de Lafayette
He offers proposals “for a declaration of rights" which is contradictory to Mr. Burke’s. M.de Lafayette want to “Call to mind the sentiments which Nature has engraved in the heart of every citizen,” which is a sanction of ‘natural rights.’
