Mr. Benet says that "I wouldn't cease exchanging correspondence with Mr. Collins for any price..." meaning that he places a high value on the written exchange with Mr. Collins, he doesn't want it to stop. Collins is a pompous guy that presumes to know the goings on of the upper class.
