Why does Elizabeth consider it implausible that Jane will see Mr. Bingley in London?

Elizabeth thinks it is unlikely that Jane might see Bingley simply because the Gardiners live in a cheaper part of London while Bingley and Darcy live in the more expensive fashionable area of London. Elizabeth knows that Darcy would never allow Bingley to lower himself and visit Jane where the middle class live.
