What degree of importance does Lady Catherine enjoy within her parish? Given what we know of her, what does this ''importance'' probably amount to?

THe only reason she is important in her parish is because she is rich. She is able to give to the church but in exchange she dominates the "going ons" in the parish. She is a snob and a busy body. Her importance simply amounts to money rather than respect.
