Pride and Prejudice reflects life in Victorian England. I'm thinking Arab life today might have certain similarities in terms of the whole arranged marriage and status thing but I'm hesitant to draw any more conclusions. So I would disagree mostly on the basis that you are dealing with a society based on Christian ethics as opposed to Islamic ethics.
