Do you think Elizabeth might have been under a mistaken impression about Darcy?

In my opinion, Elizabeth's initial impressions of Darcy, which were based upon his own actions and rightly deserved, blinded her to finding out what he was really like. Elizabeth, like Darcy, suffered from both pride and prejudice. As a result, she spent a long period of time denying her attraction to him and not allowing herself to see there was more to him than the pompous character with which he presented himself.
