Darcy is a wealthy man who is somewhat of a snob. He looks down on people who are of a lower social class than he himself belongs to. Bingley, on the other hand, is wealthy as well, but he could care less about social differences. He is much more easygoing and simply does not have the hang ups that Darcy has.
