Mr. Darcy is finding that he is attracted to Elizabeth. Elizabeth is still upset with Mr. Darcy over his behaviour at the ball. Her rebuke of Mr. Darcy only makes him want to pursue her more. Their conversations are usually a battle of wit balanced with a certain attraction to each other.
