Describe the role of animals in the Popol Vuh. What assumptions about the Quiché Mayan worldview might you make based on this role?

Animals were created to rule over the world and care for the earth. They were also created to worship their creators. When the Framer and Shaper are unable to make the animals talk.... to worship them verbally, they threaten punishment.... the creation of humans, who will take over their role and also use the animals for food. The animals, however, cannot talk, and humans are crerated to take over their role, to take their homes, and to be used as nourishment.
