Poem [Lana Turner has collapsed!] Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of "The Day Lady Died," "Poem," and "Why I Am Not a Painter," students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

On Day 1, "Lady" and "Life of O'Hara" will both require internet access to conduct research, as does the "New York School" activity on Day 2.

All of the writing activities suggest the use of platforms for sharing work, either class blogs or document-sharing sites.
