I want to know the alterations Sophocles has made in the legend to increase the dramatic effect of the drama. Please help me to find the answers. 

Whose work are you attempting to compare with Sophocles version of Philoctetes? Aeschylus and Euripides also wrote version of the story, but neither work has survived.
