A simile is a comparison of one thing with another... the two things being compared are not the some types of things and are compared using the words "like" or "as".

Two examples from the text would be;

The pale purple even

Melts around thy flight;

Like a star of Heaven,

In the broad day-light

To sympathy with hopes and fears it heeded not:

Like a high-born maiden

In a palace-tower
