    Why does the Caveman hate Janet, his cave mate, in acting?

    The Caveman is a dedicated actor within the park because that is his sole income source. Janet is his cave mate, but she is not up to the task because she underperforms most of the time. The Caveman keeps on reporting Janet to management, complaining that she is not up to the task. One day, the government decides to fire Janet and replace her with an unnamed female actor with a modified face to resemble her in the cave. The new woman actor does exceptionally well in her role, and the Caveman starts to think that she is becoming a threat to his work because he might be the next person to be fired.

    What lesson does the reader learn from Janet's dismissal from her acting job in the cave?

    Many people go to acquire education so that they can get employment to sustain their families. However, the ridiculous nature of jobs is that your job can be terminated when you least expect it. Janet is employed, and she entirely depends on the job to sustain her family. However, the Caveman keeps on complaining to management that she is underperforming. One day Janet is called by government and given a termination letter. Janet's family is undergoing difficult financial moments, but her only job ends abruptly. The reader is expected to learn that employment is not permanent because it can be terminated when you need it most.

    What is the irony of the Caveman's betrayal towards Janet?

    Janet lost her job because her cave mate accused her of underperformance. The Caveman kept on reporting to management that Janet is not fit for the acting work. At last, Jane was fired and replaced by an experienced female actor whose face was disfigured to match her role. The new woman who replaced Janet performed very well in her position, and she ended up becoming a threat to the Caveman. The Caveman started feeling that his work is insecure because his performance was way low compared to the new unnamed woman. Ironically, the Caveman campaigned for Jane's removal, but now he feels threatened in his work.
