What is the difference between “concerted cultivation” and “accomplishment of natural growth”?

Gladwell observes that children who are raised with "concerted cultivation" tend to be better prepared for higher learning and better white-collar jobs: they have grown up with greater expectations to work with different groups of people with high function concepts. In the other hand, "natural growth" children were less prepared to be intellectually and socially diverse in their dealings with others.
