(In regards to the quote in question 3) Does this statement negate the significance of chapter one and two? Explain.

Outliers chapter 3 and 4 questions

The quote is "are convinced that those at the very top of the IQ scale have the greatest potential"

In context, the quote would negate the information provided in the first two chapter. Chapter Three, however, goes onto described how this is not a factual statement. Thus, the main points in Chapters One and Two are not negated but supported.


But is that true?

So far in Outliers, we've seen that extraordinary achievement is less about talent than it is about opportu nity. In this chapter, I want to try to dig deeper into why that's the case by looking at the outlier in its purest and most distilled form the genius.
