Structure:
In Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell claims that more professional hockey players are born in the earlier part of the year than in later months. With the help of an Excel spreadsheet and current team rosters, we can easily check to see if this is true.
1) Open a new Excel spreadsheet. Under Column A, enter the 12 months. A1 would be January, A2 February, etc.
2) Go to http://www.espn.com/nhl/players and assign each member of the class a hockey team.
