Why does Iago choose the path of silence towards the end of Act 5?

Why does Iago choose the path of silence towards the end of Act 5? Does Iago “win” in a way? What should be Iago’s punishment?

Towards the end of the fifth act, Iago has no need to speak. The audiences is captivated by Othello's pain, folly, and misfortune. Iago has had his way.... Othello is ruined, and finally, he is dead.
