describe the typical breakfast served in the camp?

I think the answer is just bread and water but i am not sure.

They were given 10 ounces of bread with a small piece of salami or one ounce of margarine and brown, tasteless coffee, with no sugar.

•On the menu this morning is some sort of gross soup/gruel concoction with boiled fish in it.
