How did Monks looked like?

Many critics think that Dickens intended to give Monks epilepsy, hence his many "fits"leaving scars on his face. Mr. Brownlow comments that Monks’s, "evil passions, vice, and profligacy festered till they found a vent in a hideous disease which has made your face an index even to your mind". This basically means that Monks's epilepsy combined with his ugly deeds can be seen on his facial features.
