When Lenny wanders into crooks room why is he rude to crooks

Crooks feels isolated and discriminated against. He is made to live beside a horse stall and forbidden to mix socially with whites. Lenny really doesn't know any better when he comes blundering into Crooks's space. His little hovel is all Crooks has that is his home so his natural inclination is to be rude to him.
