The boss was particularly tough on Lennie, but I don't believe he punished anyone.

He was harsh and tough on him. (Lennie if its a girl or boy.) The boss is particularly hard on Lennie because of a thing he did I think. The boss didnt give out any punishment to him... and of course i'm using my own mind; and not other students' responses to this question.

The boss if I could explain is quite bossy and practically sassy's everybody who gets into his way. I think he has a good side and a bad side and I think Lennie's met both of the sides. Besides, if I were the bossy man (boss) I would be kind and not think that I'm better than anybody else. And I would be caring to Lennie and not think that he's stupid. He's a good co worker. (Lennie.) He should be the boss next.
