What is Slim's point of view on George and Lennie's American Dream?

Was George and Lennie's failure to achieve the American Dream was expected since it is an unachievable goal for men of the working class, please answer in Slim's point of view.

Slim admired George and Lennie's dream, though he saw George's part in the dream as generous and possibly unsustainable. In my opinion, he had great respect for George and his care of Lennie, a job that most men wouldn't have accepted and performed so selflessly.
